Kapitalbank planted 16,500 seedlings in eight regions of the country within the framework of the nationwide project «Yashil Makon» of the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan
Kapitalbank employees planted various types of seedlings in eight regions of Uzbekistan such as: Tashkent, Fergana, Samarkand, Bukhara, Namangan, Surkhandarya and Khorezm regions, as well as in the Republic of Karakalpakstan. The number of seedlings and types of trees were determined together with the khokimiyats of the respective regions, based on climatic peculiarities and environmental needs of the regions.

For over 20 years we have been working for the welfare of the country and contributing to its future — whether it is supporting entrepreneurs, developing financial services for the residents of Uzbekistan or taking care of air quality. By the end of the spring season of 2024, Kapitalbank will plant about 18.5 thousand more trees. The project is not limited to just tree planting. Together with Uzum, Kapitalbank is planning to install air quality monitoring sensors in more than 50 settlements in all regions of the country. To implement the project, the buildings of bank branches and delivery points of the national marketplace Uzum Market will be used.
The ambitious project «Yashil Makon« is part of the state policy on environmental protection and sustainable development. The project aims to increase the area of green spaces in the country, greening urban and rural areas. By the end of 2024, it is planned to plant more than 1.2 million trees across the country.
