Over the past month Kapitalbank's employees have participated in two international races and are preparing for the third one.
On April 21st the team of Kapitalbank took part in the 6th Tashkent International Marathon, and on May 5th the employees of the bank left for Kokand to take part in the City Run Kokand.
Now Kapitalbank's team is preparing to conquer new sports heights - more than 350 employees of the bank have already registered for participation in the marathon to be held on June 2 in Zaamin.
— This year Kapitalbank's team set a record by bringing together more than 350 participants for the first time, — notes Mirkhan Sagitov, Supervisor of the Samarkand Marathon series of races. — We are glad to see that the number of companies developing running culture in Uzbekistan is growing from year to year. Shirin Yusupova, Head of Brand Management Division of the Marketing Department, became the main representative of Kapitalbank in Uzbek races. Shirin has run 50 km for the first time in 2023, taking the top prize in the Zaamin ultramarathon among other participants.
— I started running as a student, but at that time running was not as popular as it is today. Now sport events are organized regularly in Uzbekistan. Since last year alone, I have participated in three marathons and two ultramarathons (50 km distance) as part of the Kapitalbank team, — says Shirin Yusupova. — I like running together with my colleagues - it creates a special atmosphere of mutual support and cohesion on the track, which is then maintained in the workplace.
Over the past few years, the bank's employees have run more than 300 kilometers in various races, taking part in more than 10 different sports events.
