Top Employers Institute, in collaboration with the international audit firm BDO, conducted an audit of Kapitalbank’s HR business processes and employee practices to ensure they align with international standards. As a result of the audit, Kapitalbank became the first Uzbek bank to receive the Top Employer certification.
Top Employers Institute is an international organization that has been certifying the best employers for over 30 years. In 2024, the organization certified 2,303 companies in 122 countries.
— “For more than 20 years, the Kapitalbank team has been a launchpad for the careers of leaders in the country’s leading banks and financial organizations,” says Kirill Maevsky, Chairman of the Management Board of Kapitalbank. — “Last year, we launched our own educational center — Kapital Academy. We implemented several educational programs, and most importantly for us and the market, we established an exchange of experience and best practices in HR. This project opens up professional growth opportunities for more than 3,400 employees working in over 100 branches and offices across Uzbekistan.”
In 2024, Kapital Academy conducted nearly 5,000 hours of training sessions led by in-house business trainers. Leadership programs for business transformation, the “Top-500” talent pool program, training for the front office, contact center, and soft collections teams were implemented. Post-training support has become a standard part of corporate education. Kapital Academy actively incorporates business games, strategic and team sessions, as well as proprietary training courses (over 40 training programs were developed in 2024). The bank also introduced a mobile learning app that allows employees to train remotely without requiring an internet connection.
At the end of 2024, Kapitalbank’s management presented the bank’s updated core values, which will define its development strategy and corporate culture. The new principles include leadership, partnership, courage, and reliability, emphasizing the bank’s commitment to building a strong and sustainable team focused on long-term success.
